If you are experiencing these symptoms
- Fever
- Dizziness or nauseated
- Were recently involved in an accident
- Broken, fractured, or dislocated parts
- Are bruised or have open wounds, rashes, or severe sunburn
- Have not showered or are not clean
In the cases mentioned above it is very important to stabilize your medical conditions first. Massage therapist are not doctors. there's is only so much we are able to do. So once you are fully recovered you can call to schedule and appointment.
It is also important to inform the massage therapist if you have any f the following conditions
- Edema
- Asthma
- Skin conditions (warts, Herpes, boils)
- Contagious skin conditions (rashes, sores or burns)
- Miscellaneous condition (pregnancy or migraines)
- Lymph/Immune System (Chronic Fatigue or HIV/AIDS
- Nervous system conditions (Herpes or Parkinson's)
- Circulatory System issues (High Blood Pressure)
It is important to inform your therapist of these conditions to be able to provide you with the best service according to circumstance and individual needs. Also, most CMT's will ask before hand but just in case please be sure to inform him/her if you are allergic to any oil, creams, cleaners, or disinfectants on sheets and tables. If so you may be required to bring in your own if they do not have different products.
