So I have been trying to eat better and I wanted to know what were the benefits of green grapes. So of course I asked google. Then, I found a site and enjoyed reading an article that taught me something. Remember the day you stop learning is the day you stop growing! Turns out that they are not only tasty but they are really good for you! They are packed with vitamins and minerals that will have you feeling more energized and they will help improve your metabolism, which will help you maintain a healthy weight. Grapes have Vitamin K, B6, Potassium, Manganese, fiber and protein! Grapes are a high-fructose food, so do not eat more than 4-5 servings of them per day or your sugar levels will rise. Even people with type 2 diabetes can eat grapes as part of a healthy diet. Just beware of how many you are eating, if you have type 2 diabetes. A cool idea I’m going to try from reading that article is freezing some grapes and adding them to my glass of wine. They last longer than ice and you can eat them after! You can also add grapes to your fruit salads and yogurt. Today I ate a cup of grapes. If you were to eat a cup a day of grapes you would be intaking:
Calories: 104
Fat: 0 grams
Cholesterol: O milligrams
Sodium: 4 milligrams
Carbohydrates: 28 grams
Dietary Fiber: 2 gram
Sugar: 24 grams
Protein: 2 grams
Since grapes have manganese in them you will be helping your bones and connective tissue to get get stronger. We could could use more fiber and of course my favorite protein! I hope you guys enjoyed this brief article and that after reading this you’ll make sure to pick up green grapes the next time your at the grocery store or better yet farmers market! I want us all to live long lives and the key to that is what we are choosing to eat. Let's make better choices together. J. Reference: https://www.webmd.com/diet/health-benefits-green-grapes
