You Should Know

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity of meeting my friends and I here at Oasis Spa I wanted to take the time to fill you in on a few things that are important to me. Every single last one of us is a Certified Massage Therapist. That means that we each went to an actual school and successfully completed the curricula in massage. So not only do we love what we do but we actually know what we're doing.

Don't forget that a real masseuse has studied the body and and we have worked hundreds and hundreds of hours just practicing massage before we were ever even given a licence. We had to take several test and work really hard to be able to help people the right way. I notice lately that a lot of people can give a good massage but if you want a great one...hire a professional!

It seems that there are a lot of people out there who claim to be masseuses but once asked a specific question about something of importance they freeze up or change the subject. The other day I was massaging a client and he mentioned to me that in the past during a massage the masseuse accidentally confused her words and called his triceps a tripod. I wondered how this was possible. I'm going to give that poor girl the benefit of the doubt and say she was distracted by his muscles. Which by the way still isn't appropriate lol.

For those of you who actually do need a massage or are actually suffering from some kind of pain or injury you want to make sure that the CMT you hire knows what there doing. Plus, why pay for someone to do a half ass job? Another thing that you should know about us here at Oasis is that as of right now we are a very small location. I shouldn't even be calling it a spa because it's more of an office I converted into my studio.

There is no shower here. Since there is no shower here I use heated hot cloths to remove lotions and oils. It is important to let the CMT know if you are allergic to any kinds of lotions or oils before they start the massage. Since the studio is such a small location we only can book one appointment at a time. All appointments require at least one hr notice. 2-3 hours are most appreciated.

Also, the last thing I would like to discuss is that all CMT's here are strictly professional. We are not hookers or escorts. We are massage therapist! If anyone ask or attempts to do or say anything that inappropriate anytime during, before or after the massage you will be asked to leave and we would not be able to refund you your money or book a massage with you in the future.
